Have you ever wanted to dye your hair pink but been too scared? Or fancy changing your colour for an event and then back again? Hear is something you may find interesting? Colour Extreme Coloured hairsprays by hair art. They come in multiple colours. Blue green pink purple red blue just to name a few. I can see these people good for things like festivals, fancy dress or if your feeling crazy, everyday?
The best thing is that they wash out in one wash. So no commitment, but lots of fun.
My first victim was my friend Frankie (mwahahaha) she's blonde and is partial to the odd pink toner here and there anyway so she was perfect to try it out on. (Just in case it needed more than one shampoo)
Over the next few posts i will be uploading some things Iv been trying out with them.
Hope you like, tell me what you think.
And by the way it was completely gone after one wash. So a fun easy quick way to have a change...without having a change.
Here's how to achieve frankies new look.

Princess hair
I had a request for beautiful 'princess' hair recently. I knew exactly what she meant weirdly. And without blowing my own trumpet, it looked amazing! I thought it share it with you.
She's really light naturally anyway so lifting her hair isn't a struggle and it's really satisfying to see someone with this colour hair and in great condition. (Trust me it's a rare sight)
She's a good candidate for this high maintenance colour because she looks after her hair, doesn't straighten or abuse it, and uses the right products all the way through. She comes in when she needs to aswell so she doesn't get banding.
(Hairdresser term for yellow lines)
After 3.5 hours in the salon, she defo looked like a princess.

My hero
Someone asked me the other day what is the one hair product they need in there toiletries, this was so hard for me. As most of my friends know I'm a massive product junkie. There are a lot of things that i couldnt live without, but i know for most people that it can be very costly to have EVERYTHING.
So if i had to recommend just 1 product that covers all areas it would have to be this! Its not cheap at £39.50 but worth every penny!! The whole bottle lasts me about 9 months. I think an investment. Or if thats a bit steep then try the smaller bottle at £15 but trust me you will get hooked.

Daring to be different
We all get bored with our hair don't we. Some choose to make the change, others either too scared or just set in their ways. I love it when a client says to me, 'I feel like a change'. Instantly I get so excited! I'm not a pushy stylist but I do encourage people to be experimental. It's fun!
What's funnier, looking at old pics where you look the same? Or looking at all the disastrous hairdos we've tried. I know my answer.
Being daring doesn't have to mean tacky. It needs to be done with class and have an expensive feel. It needs to be done on purpose not just thrown in there for the sake of it.
A classic example came to me last week. She is one of my favourite clients, I have been doing her hair for a few years so would say after all this time I know her boundaries. I also know her work are cool about her hair. ( to a certain extent)
Bored she was and different is what she wanted.
Unfortunately I forgot to take a before pic but it was just the same colour allover.
It also helps that she has amazingly shiny hair aswell.
A little feature to add interest.

Transformation complete
My transformation is now complete...
The last few years Iv been every type of redhead you can think of. I fancied a change so thought I would go blonde.. Ish for summer.
Also because my dad has cheekily asked me not to be ginger for his wedding in August! Gingerist!
Anyway I thought I'd share some pics of my journey. It probably took around 3 months. I wanted to do it gradually so that the condition of my hair wouldnt be sacrificed.
So from copper to blonde to long. Hope you like x

The new dipdye
So the dipdye has had it's day and has been revamped... Oh yes!! And it's about time aswell.
Ombré is the new thing. Although it originated from the dipdye it has got a shiny new look.
Strong harsh lines are out. Seamless blends are now in.
Ask your hairdresser for the baliage technique or floating lights. And a nice gradual build up.
It's still recession proof and low commitment and pretty much anyone can give it a go.
The first few pictures are what I consider to be soooo last year...
The last 3 are absolute winners ;-)
